We grow and produce organic biodynamic fresh, frozen, dried, and juice cranberry products to specific customer requirements.
Our cranberries are certified by USDA, Demeter, Primus, AIB, GFSI, Kosher, HAACP, and others.
Since 1975 customers buy directly from our farms with over 4,000 acres.
Farming Is a Family Tradition
It all started with Dad, growing up in Chicago in the 1950s. A Greek kid who grew up in the family restaurant (think Big Fat Greek Wedding), family, food, love and friends were at the heart, of everything.
How we got started
In 1975, Dad purchased an old farm in Nekoosa, Wisconsin and decided to try raising cattle and farming. For 20 years nothing seemed to work but we still had fun! Days were filled with walking the fields, swimming and chasing cattle.
In 1995 we started growing conventional cranberries and in 2006 decided to take a leap of faith and convert to organic methods.
Then in 2012 we discovered biodynamic farming, also known as “Organic 2.0.” Biodynamic farming takes organic to a new level by working more closely with nature to help plants produce healthier, more nutrient-dense foods.
Despite our many efforts to grow crops, the nights proved too cold (frost) and the soil too sandy and wet. Cranberries were well established elsewhere, but our farm soils were different – too porous to hold a flood or so we thought. Then we discovered that below our fields lay a vast artesian spring, so flooding for harvest worked quite well. Through hard work and our love for the land and each other, we turned obstacles into opportunities.
